In response to increased 2-DIN demand, JVC Mobile now offers new 2-DIN size CD Receivers, KW-XG500 and KW-XG700. In addition to improved operation due to size, these new CD Receivers will feature front AUX in and iPod ready capability as well as satellite radio capability. The KW-XG700 adds front USB input as well as Bluetooth ready capability. Cassette/CD receiver models KW-XC410 and KW-XC400, which were introduced last year, will be retained to offer increased choices. JVC Mobile also introduces KW-AVX800, a 2-DIN multimedia receiver that is part of the high-end EXAD lineup, featuring a 7-inch wide touch panel monitor. This system allows playback from a variety of sources using its USB and SD memory slots, and is also compatible with AAC* and DivX® files.

The KW-XG500, KW-XG700 and KW-AVX800 share numerous features including a J-Bus Terminal, MP3/WMA compatible, Sat Radio ready , Mos-Fet Power Amp, steering remote control ready, telephone muting and more. The KW-XG500 and KW-XG700 also feature a front AUX input for wider connectivity.

iPod® Control
Enjoy even more connections and full operation with the optional KS-PD100 adapter with all three units. The iPod can be controlled from the headunit, and song information is displayed with the same categories and layers as an iPod.

HS-IV Tuner
The HS-IV tuner features higher sensitivity, thanks to three IF bandwidths (wide, middle and narrow). It also includes AM Noise Canceller plus upgraded IF filters that help avoid the distortion caused by interference from adjacent stations.

USB Port
A USB port allows connection with an HDD, USB memory and digital audio players for playback of MP3/WMA/WAV/AAC* audio files WMA-DRM protected music files can also be played.

Ready for Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
With KS-BTA200 optional adapter, Bluetooth Wireless Technology can be used with compatible devices. Use the adaptor with the KW-XG700 and you will be able to register a maximum of five mobile phones for hands-free calling. With voice-recognition mobile phones, you can dial by just saying the name in your phone book. The wireless functions work even if your mobile phone is tucked away in your bag or pocket. You can also stream music from a compatible digital audio player for listening on your car stereo.

Wide Built-in 7-Inch Touch Panel Monitor
Movies and TV programs are shown with superb clarity on the wide 7-inch monitor of this double-DIN system. Operation is easy, with a user-friendly touch panel and GUI (Graphical User Interface). The disc slot and SD card slot are neatly hidden behind the monitor.

SD Card Slot
The KW-AVX800 has a built-in SD card slot, for playing music files (MP3/WMA/ AAC*) or viewing JPEG still photos on the wide 7-inch screen.

DivX® Video Files
This system is a DivX® Ultra Certified product, and can play PC-created DivX® video files on a USB memory or DVD/CD. The powerful compression of DivX® can fit up to 10 movies onto 1 DVD, or 1 movie onto 1 CD, without sacrificing picture quality.

MPEG 1/MPEG 2 Playback

The system can play MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 video files burned on DVD or CD. TV programs recorded from a PC, or personal footage from digital camcorders, can be viewed without the hassles of authoring or decoding.

JPEG Pictures
JPEG digital still photos can be displayed on their own or as slideshows.

DVD-Audio
The KW-AVX800 supports DVD-Audio Playback, which far exceeds CD sound quality by using sampling and quantization bit rates several times higher than CDs.

GIGA MP3 MULTI – Play MP3, WMA, and WAV Files Burned on DVD
The system features GIGA MP3 MULTI, which plays MP3, WMA, or WAV files burned on DVD. With MP3 and WMA files, the 4.7GB capacity of a DVD can store up to 2,500 songs on a single disc — equal to 250 pre-recorded CDs. If you want even more superior sound quality, burn WAV files on DVD. WAV is an uncompressed PC music file format that delivers CD-quality sound. A single DVD disc can store 100 WAV files — equal to 10 pre-recorded CDs. Now you can enjoy non-stop entertainment with CD-quality sound, without an additional CD changer.

5.1ch Digital Surround
The unit comes with built-in 5.1ch DTS Digital Surround decoder, which lets you create a realistic sound field onboard. The Dolby Pro Logic II offers the same audio excitement for 2-channel stereo sources.

Dual-Zone
With the KW-AVX800 and a separate monitor, rear-seat passengers can enjoy DVD movies while you listen to the radio up front.

Headphone Surround*
The KW-AVX800 features Headphone Surround, for multi-channel sound via your headphones. Unlike conventional headphone technologies, JVC’s Headphone Surround creates virtual ‘room reverberations,’ which feel as if they come from outside the headphones — just like real surround sound in a large room. Any type of headphones can be used with this function.
*Available with 5.1-channel sources or 2ch sources with Dolby Pro Logic II turned on. In both cases, Headphone Surround only works when Dual Mode is turned on.

7-Band iEQ
Boost or cut the level by up to 10dB on each of seven bandwidths (60, 150, 400, 1k, 2.4k, 6k and 15 kHz). Even customize the overall response with the 7-band iEQ, which offers three user- and nine factory-preset patterns (POP, HARD ROCK, JAZZ, DANCE MUSIC, REGGAE, R&B, COUNTRY, CLASSIC, and FLAT).
